Coming from a background as a national-level swimmer, I’ve now been involved in triathlon for almost 20 years, with more than a decade of triathlon coaching under my belt. I’ve coached on-the-ground at swim squads, triathlon and run clubs, while providing online coaching for athletes of all distances, backgrounds, ages and nationalities.
I am certified as a triathlon coach by IronmanU and British Triathlon, and I'm also a certified swim coach and personal trainer. My athletic highlights include more than 10 full distance triathlons with a sub-9:30 best, an Ultraman, several ultramarathons and a range of podiums at shorter distance races.
Originally a journalist by trade, my triathlon and coaching career developed alongside a corporate career for a Fortune 500 company, leading teams and speaking at large events, all while being a loving father to three exhaustingly lovable kids. I've also contributed articles and copywriting to aumber. Born in Chester, UK, my career has taken me all around the world but the Netherlands is now well and truly home.
